Born in 1986 in Sosnovy Bor, Leningrad region. I live and work in St. Petersburg

my tool is a trace: i paint without art brushes, wiping off the paint with my hands, co–authoring with the material, exposing and revealing what is hidden. the result is not predetermined, the process is the way to free oneself from automatism, and the physical embodiment of the trace is evidence of real events, an analog form of human manifestation as opposed to a virtual one

the focus of my practice is the paradox of the trace in the 'presence of absence', a kind of living memory body: something that indicates something that has already passed or disappeared, but at the same time exists in itself and remains significant

my artworks are not so much objects for perception as contemplative spaces, fragments of a network of emotional engagements that allow you to slip out of the accelerated rhythm and slow down

the meanings of this network are very vivid and changeable – it is both a condition, a space, a material and a product of my practice. at the moment of of finishing the artwork, i seem to 'blur' the boundaries of authorship and completeness, turning art into a dynamic phenomenon rather than a static object
