| prokshina tatiana Born in 1986 in Sosnovy Bor, Leningrad Region, she lived for a long time in Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan, and currently resides and works in St. Petersburg. She graduated with a master's degree in a technical specialty, but since 2013 has been professionally engaged in graphic design, specializing in creating authorial patterns and working with textiles, eventually gradually transitioning to an artistic practice in her own technique of oil painting and other media. She is a participant in various exhibitions, festivals, and contemporary art fairs, including the WIN-WIN market, the Vinzavod Center for Contemporary Art (Moscow), winning a competition and participating in the final exhibition of the XXXII International Festival "Master Class" (St. Petersburg) in 2024, and the exhibition "Evergreen," National Center for Contemporary Arts of the Republic of Belarus (Minsk) in 2025. | " My tool is the trace: I paint without brushes, erasing paint with my hands, collaborating with the material to uncover and reveal what is hidden. The result is not predetermined; the process is a way to free oneself from automatism, and the physical embodiment of the trace is an analog form of manifestation in real reality, a testament to real events The center of my practice is the paradox of the trace in 'the presence of absence' a kind of living body of memory: something that points to what has already passed or disappeared, but at the same time exists in itself and can be significant My works are more contemplative spaces than mere objects for perception. They resemble fragments of an emotional network, allowing one to slip out of the accelerated rhythm and slow down The meanings of this network are memories, thoughts, feelings, states, associations, and interpretations - very alive and changeable. This is simultaneously a condition, a space, a material, and a product of my practice The finished works can be perceived both individually and combined into ever new 'sets,' blurring the boundaries of authorship and completeness. This transforms art into a dynamic phenomenon rather than a static object, similar to how meanings intertwine and change within the emotional network " |
